I have had invisalign for about 3 months, the main goal was to straighten a tooth but after 3 months with the invisalign treatment am not happy with results at all i feel like my teeth havent moved at all and the dentist wouldnt do anything about it he kept saying it is risky and that tooth cant be straight but it sounds more like he is just not willing to do anything so i was wondering if it is true what he is saying?
Im at the end of my Invisalign treatment, having had the aligners on for three months. One of my two front teeth that I wanted adjusting appears shorter than the other, however my dentist said this can only be fixed with composite bonding. I asked about refinements as Ive not yet had any and they advised my teeth wouldnt move more, would bands fix the issue? Also if Im still not happy, would Invisalign refinements work after Ive got the composite bonding/is it recommended to insist?
I did 2.5 years of Invisalign active treatment and 1 year of refinement (so 3.5 years since start). M my dentist told me that for a small fee (350 dollars?) he can do one more round of scan and get me more trays to last until the end of 5 years. I kind of just want to finish the treatment soon so I'm leaning toward just get the Vivera retainer. But it seems like a good deal to get more trays for just a bit of money. is it recommended to keep on getting refinements until the end of 5 year period?
I am currently wearing Invisalign. I wear them weekly and have a total of 16 trays. There was some confusion at the doctor office and they gave me tray 12 to wear instead of tray 11. I am now on tray 14 and just realized that I skipped tray 11. I spoke to the receptionist and she said the doctor will just have me do refinements. The trays have all fit fine and my teeth have been shifting. Would refinements be necessary? Also is there going to be any damage by skipping out that week?
After 8 months of Invisalign regular treatment, I started refinements 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have a growing sensitivity in one tooth, #3 (w/7 year old crown). My dentist says I'm probably clenching or grinding and it'll go away eventually. I just had a 6-month checkup with full x-rays, with no issues. No cold or hot sensitivity. It's OK to eat on, though some foods cause more sensitivity. This is the only tooth bothering me. Anything to stress over? I think I do clench, unfortunately.
Theres a black triangle between #9 and #10. I think I made a mistake in choosing my dentist but Im at the end of refinements, maybe too late to switch. Im not confident in my dentist performing IPRs based on whats done to my bottom teeth. I am concerned it will change the shape of the tooth and look very unsymmetrical vs the other lateral incisor. Should I just finish the refinement and get Bioclear/bonding later, or I should get IPR to reduce the black triangle?
I am almost done with 3rd refinement, not completely happy with the position of tooth #10 because it still appears a little behind #9 (vs. #7 & #8). All 3 refinements were intended to adjust #10 so it is better aligned with #9. Pic 1 is before refinement and Pic 2 is now. Looking at upper arch pics (End of 2nd refinement vs. Now). #10 is pushed forward as expected. Can it improved further? Will the black triangle between #9 & #10 look bigger? Appreciate if you can shed some light.
I paid $5600 for my Invisalign(24 trays). I also did propel($500 extra), which cut my Invisalign treatment in half. Now, im on my last tray and teeth arent straight and im not happy with my result. My doctor is charging me $500 extra for refinement. I dont understand, why i have to pay extra for my refinement. I realize that the last couples of tray, on my bottom teeth arent even straight. How are my teeth supposed to move to the correct spot, if the trays aren't even straight? i am upset!
I was supposed to be finished with my last aligner on April 8th. However I'm still wearing it now (1st May). I told my orthodontist that I was not 100 % happy with the results so she took new impressions and pictures and asked Invisalign if refinements would perfect my smile. She doesn't think it will. How long should it take to get a yes or no response? She has no idea. I'm afraid my aligner will break or my teeth might move back to their original position. How long can I wear my last aligner safely?
