Is it ok to tan after tummy tuck?

I had a tummy tuck on January 4. I usually tan in a tanning bed (terrible, I know!) and I have a pool at home and I am usually in the sun on the weekends. As long as my scars are covered, is it okay to tan?

Yes, you appear to have skin necrosis. Keep following your surgeon's wound care advise to the letter and you should be healed in about a month. You may need a bit of scar revision surgery down the line, but hopefully not. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
