Can you still get a BBL when your EKG shows possible left atrial enlargement?

My doctor requested an EKG and labs before my surgery and received news that I needed an Echo because the EKG came back abnormal showing a possible left atrial enlargement. Would a doctor still consider it or how serious is this.

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, you will need to get a clearance from your cardiologist prior to surgery. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Atrial enlargement should not be all that serious by itself but I agree with getting the echocardiogram to look at your ventricles as well.

The person who should answer your question is your surgeon. Please contact him or her and discuss with them to see how they feel about further work up before your surgery. Some plastic surgeons may want cardiology clearance.  That decision may have to do with what your echocardiogram results will show.
