Too much chin filler - should I have it dissolved or blended into jaw line? (photos)

Hello, hope you are well. It depends in part on what type of filler material was used to augment the chin in the first place. The only type of filler that can be dissolved is HA (hyaluronic acid). HA also dissipates naturally over a year or so. Many injectors use different longer lasting dermal fillers in the chin--the most common alternative being a product like Radiesse which is CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite) which cannot be dissolved. These products last longer and are semi-permanent because they stimulate collagen formation around the injection site. You should find out from your past injector what material was used so you know what your options are. If it cannot be dissolved, it may make sense to a careful correction of contour irregularities with additional filler to 'blend' it as you describe. Lastly, if it is Radiesse, you can allow additional time to pass for it to dissipate more before doing anything.
