I've been getting filler for years but the pigmentation under my eyes seems to have spread down Does this look like the Tyndall effect? How can I reverse it
Answer: Tyndall Effect Hello! It doesn't look like the Tyndall effect to me. It usually casts a blueish hue only in certain lights. It looks more like pigmentation changes. Hydroquinone can be a really good product to improve this as long as you're followed carefully by a provider. I would meet with a Dermatologist - for example - to learn if you may be a candidate.

Answer: Do I have the Tyndall effect? (Photo) Hello PW, It is difficult to determine from the photo whether your pigmentation is from under eye filler. If it is filler related then the best way to treat it would be to dissolve the filler with Hylenex. If you have further questions or concerns feel free to contact me for either a virtual or in person consultation. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: Assessment and Recommendations Regarding Potential Tyndall Effect The Tyndall effect is a term used to describe a bluish discoloration that can occur when dermal fillers are injected too superficially beneath the skin. You are experiencing the Tyndall effect. The bluish or grayish discoloration in the areas where you've had fillers, this could potentially be the Tyndall effect. To address this issue, I would recommend scheduling a consultation with your dermatologist or the healthcare provider who administered the filler. They can evaluate your condition and discuss potential solutions. If the discoloration is indeed due to the Tyndall effect, one common treatment is the injection of hyaluronidase. This enzyme can dissolve hyaluronic acid-based fillers and potentially correct the discoloration.

Answer: What’s a Tyndall effect? A Tyndall effect is when a fullness created from the use of hyaluronic acid filler reflex a blue. You don’t appear to have that, but you do have a bag which was caused by the hyaluronic acid filler. I would recommend having that hyaluronic acid pill, dissolved, and have your hollowed lower lid filled with your own fat, which in the right hands will provide you with permanent and natural results. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
