Hi! I’m getting facial filler (cheeks, lip, and jawline). My face has always been naturally chubby and never lost too much weight. I plan on losing 30 pounds before I get any facial filler, and then after I lose those 30 pounds I’m going to get the filler. I want to lose more weight after that ( I’m 197 now, so I’d want to lose about 70-80 pounds ) will the weight loss after the 30 pounds effect my filler in a negative way or should I not be worried?
Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Weight loss after filler The weight loss should not impact the filler already in place, however as you continue to loose weight you may notice additional volume deficiency in your face and around the areas previously filled. Depending on the results, additional filler may be desired.

Answer: Fillers and weight loss: What you need to know Hello, and thank you for your question. You have a great plan –losing weight before getting fillers is a good strategy because weight loss will have an impact on your facial shape and contours. You will lose facial volume and may encourage more skin laxity as you lose more weight later on. That said, weight loss will have no direct effect on the filler itself. However, you will most likely need more filler during your touch-ups to adjust to your slimmer face. To achieve the best results, I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable injector who has extensive experience in all types of injectable treatments. Such experts will have an aesthetic eye for producing the most natural-looking results. During your consultation, your provider can assess your skin and facial profile and customize the appropriate treatment plan according to your needs and goals.

Answer: Weight loss Weight loss will not affect your filler directly, however you may require touch ups to the filler as you lose weight and facial fat. Your plan for the filler timing sounds like a good one. Adjustments can be made as you continue on your weight loss journey.

Answer: Weight loss and fillers Dear S1sterGr1mm, weight loss will not cause the disappearance of dermal fillers. However, if you lose significant weight it will cause changes to your face. It might be better to wait until you are done with weight loss and then get dermal fillers.
