I got rhynoplasty about a year ago, recently the doctor gave me a steroid injection to the nose and it’s causing atrophy on nose . My face is very itchy . Can it travel to the face?
Answer: Can you steroid injection to the Nose migrate elsewhere on the face? Can steroid injection to the nose migrate elsewhere on the face? no, the steroid injection will not migrate to other areas of the face. Some of the atrophy you may be noticing early on may also regress with time. In most cases the steroid injection seems to have a peak effect somewhere between one and two weeks which may look overdone. However much of the effect often regressive back over the next two or three months. I have seen a couple of cases where there appear to be a small dent early on which eventually dissipated.

Answer: Steroid to nose Steroid injections to the nose to decrease swelling and mitigate scar formation is not uncommon after rhinoplasty. Itching of your facial skin is unrelated to the steroid injection, and I would suggest you seek an alternative explanation for this. The atrophy, which can occur with intradermal steroid injections, is difficult to assess on your attached photo, but be careful with additional injections if you are already starting to see undesirable skin changes from intradermal steroids.

Answer: Rhinoplasty It appears that your result is good and I don’t see any problems that could be related to steroid injections. You don’t need to worry about the steroid traveling at this point
