Hi there, I have been researching this topic for over 5 yrs now and I am very dissapointed by how difficult it has been to find a doctor who is experienced in the removal of permanent fillers like bellafill, silikon1000 and others. I have done academic research on this topic, yet find it very difficult to find any content demonstrating removal procedures, discussing removal procedures & showing before & after pictures/videos. I'm hoping some doctors can shed some light on this.
Answer: Why Finding Bellafill and Permanent Filler Removal Experts Can Be Difficult Thank you for your question regarding the removal of permanent fillers like Bellafill and Silikon 1000. I understand your frustration, as it’s a field that unfortunately many doctors and surgeons are not familiar with. However, I want to assure you that I do these removal procedures, sometimes twice a day, and have been studying and performing these removals for over a decade. The reason you may be struggling to find resources or doctors specializing in this area is that these fillers often go by different names, and the field of removing permanent fillers is relatively specialized. Many doctors and surgeons may not be well-versed in these techniques, which leads to limited information available online. If you’re interested in seeing how these procedures are done, you can search on YouTube for “silicone removal surgery,” where you will find my videos that show the procedure step-by-step. If you're looking for more information or need help finding a surgeon, I encourage you to consult with a plastic surgeon who has experience with permanent filler removals. This is a complex procedure, and it’s essential to work with someone who has extensive experience in this field. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Permanent Fillers May Lead To The Development Of Persistent or Permanent Adverse Reactions My regular followers know well that I have been cautioining peopel for years to avoid permanent fillers of all kinds. The idea of permanent is of course enticing, but deceptive. Problems with them can arise not only immediately, but even five, ten or twenty+ years later. And, it is because permanent fillers can result in the development of disfiguring lumps and nodules and fibrosis that cannot be removed completely, even by surgery (which itself can leave scars if performed), since no dissolving enzyme exists to remove these foreign substances that actually work by stimulating fibrosis to wall off the injected foreign permanent filler. Over the years, I have treated many patients who received permanent fillers elsewhere and regretted it and have had gratifying results in shrinking the fibrosis with the use of an algorithm of varying combinations, concentrations and amounts of injectable anti-inflammatory agents. Sorry that this has happened to you, but hope this helps and also serves as a cautionary note to other readers..
