I always have has really large trapezius muscle and really bothering me I’m always with back pain and feel discomfort in the shoulder area all the time Is there a more permanent way to slimming the trapezius muscle with having to p Botox ay $900 for Botox every 3 months??? I’m also always having be self conscious about always having to cover my shoulders.

Botox is an excellent option to help slim the trapezius muscle for 3-4 months.  ($900 per session is expensive and I would seek an experienced provider that can target the affected trigger muscles.   We have had good results with as little as 40 units total.   There is NO permanent way to slim any muscles that are constantly being used. Hi!First off if you’re paying $900 for Tox to the Traps you should do some research in your area to explore pricing. I believe that may be somewhat over priced. Trapezius muscles can hypertrophy or become enlarged for many different reasons including genetics, how you carry yourself and your shoulders etc. If Botox to the traps are helping you, then staying with this treatment may be best. Do some online searches on what other exercises you can do to strengthen and support the shoulders and back as well. Best of Luck!

As was suggested by another physician reducing the breasts may help.  The weight of large breasts may be contributing to the condition.  You can consider other forms of relief from back pain such as exercises, massage, and visiting the chiropractor.

I would consider breast reduction surgery as your large breasts have probably contributed to your hypertrophied trapezius muscles and your chronic back pain. This should be covered by insurance.
Additionally, Botox injected into the trapezius, levator scapulae and rhomboid muscles may also be covered under insurance if billed under the medical term dystonia. Good luck
