It's caused by the cartilage higher up in the nose creating a pinching effect, which in turn reduces airflow. Fortunately this can be treated, often with small cartilage grafts. Hi! Sorry that you're experiencing trouble with your nose. I do see what you're referring to. Sometimes, when osteotomies (breaking of the nasal bones) are performed, it is done too aggressively and it can lead to a pinched appearance. Furthermore, the newly-moved bones can crowd inside the nose leading to breathing trouble. If cartilage is also removed in key spots, breathing can worsen. There are options. It's important, if you're comfortable, to voice your concerns with your surgeon. A thorough evaluation of your nose, particularly on the inside, is necessary. Revision rhinoplasty to focus on better structure and breathing may be needed. I hope this is helpful!

Based on your photos, it appears that the middle portion of the nose is narrow where you have the dents. That would cause the airflow in your nose to be decreased and would explain your breathing difficulties. You would likely need cartilage to be placed to make the airway in your nose bigger to allow air to pass more easily. I would recommend consulting with a board-certified plastic surgery with extensive experience in rhinoplasty.
