Can I use Microneedling RF to contract nasal tip skin post rhinoplasty?

I am 2.5 years post revision rhinoplasty, my overall result is good, but the tip is less refined than I would like. My surgeon says my skin is unusual in that it hasn’t contracted to the underlying structure. Steroids are useful but temporary. Can RF microneedling cause skin/scar tissue to contract in a way that will improve the definition of the nose? Is there potential to worsen scarring and make the nose larger?

Hi there! It’s a good thing that steroids have been trialed. I often use them for nasal tip skin which seems to hold onto swelling. Additionally, I have my patients perform compressions of the tip and taping at night. Microneedling RF like Morpheus8 may be an option. I would start conservatively. There is always a risk of creating inflammation, though I feel if done judiciously, it’s low. Hope this helps!
