Is it okay to get a micro laser peel with active acne?

Question

Before I got my micro laser peel I had some acne no cystic just regular acne. I was told it was okay for me to still proceed with the laser. After the laser I didnt peel and my scars didnt diminish. I got more acne and my scars look as red or more red then they did.

Thank you for sharing your question. It’s is ok to have laser resurfacing performed even with active acne. The treatment can even hasten recovery from the acne. The erbium laser is effective. See an oculofacial surgeon for consultation.
