I consulted with 4 different ABPS board-certified plastic surgeons about revision of my high riding implant. 12 years post transaxillary, soft (but not quite as soft as other side), not painful. 2 were absolutely sure I had mild cc and need capsulectomy; 1 was unsure if it was cc or malposition and said capsulotomy is a better choice regardless; the fourth said I have NO cc at all and only need capsulotomy. What are the criteria for a total capsulectomy vs capsulotomy for mild CC? Thank you!
