I'm a 39 year old female. I'm 118lbs and 5'3. I was considering a fat transfer however I am now a A cup. I was a full C cup and would like the same size. I was also considering a flap but they are out of my price range and I don't think I have enough fat.
Answer: Breasts I am so sorry about all the trouble you have had. Only an implant will help stretch out and keep the tissue stretched to help reshape your breasts. Fat will not stretch the scarred areas well and will not be even. A tissue expander first placed to reshape your breast prior to an implant might be a very good options for you.

Answer: Loss of implant I am sorry to hear of your problems you had with your breast, you do have some options but unfortunately you are still at high risk for another infection and/or capsular contracture. Without knowing all of the details of your history I would consider fat transfer with placing a tissue expander in a new pocket in the breast to expand your breast tissue with eventual exchange to a new implant. If you are not going with your original surgeon then it is important to have all of your records for the new surgeon to review before proceeding with surgery.

Answer: Bellesoma Method At this time, I recommend a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast disfigurement after infection and capsular contraction Your breast are pretty distorted, most likely from contract scar tissue. Before considering augmentation, you need to restore the shape of your breast. This may be pretty challenging and getting an ideal shape may not be possible. If you move forward to fat transfer without correcting the breast shape first, you’ll just have a bigger version of the same with more distortion. The contractile scar tissue has to be released before your a candidate for fat grafting. You should get confirmation that all of the capsule was removed previously. Your situation is highly complex and challenging. You’re almost at the point of needing formal breast reconstruction. It’s really important you find the right surgeon to be working with. Try consulting with the local plastic surgeons do most of the breast reconstruction in your area. Look for local breast cancer centers. Moving straight to fat transfer would be a mistake in my opinion. To assess your candidacy for fat transfer in regards to harvesting fat we need to see pictures of your body. From the limited picture you’ve included I don’t think it would be that difficult to harvest fat for a fat transfer, but you’re currently not a good candidate for a fat transfer because of the contractile scar tissue that’s distorting your breast shape. What you’ve been through is highly unfortunate. I wish you all the very best and hope that you can find a plastic surgeon who can give you the care you need. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
