What to wash hair with 5 days post fue hair transplant doctor said first use 3/ 4 drops of hibbicleanse/ Bactoscrub on wet gauge and put on scalp also said to put 5 mins of shaving cream leave it and then wash after that followed by leaving aloe water for recepient and putting aloe lotion for donor..hibbicleanse doesn't sound right and shaving cream to soften crust idk confused as dr. said stick to this regimen we have been doing this for years...please help..??

We typically advise our SmartGraft patients to use baby shampoo for the first 10 days post procedure because of the lack of alcohol in the product. We do not want to dry the new hair follicles out etc...

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  If you read the instructions on Hibiclens, it says not to use on scalp or hair.

I would recommend using Nioxin shampoo. This shampoo is a DHT Blocker and works extremely well.

You should have started to wash your hair immediately after the transplant to take off the scabs and crusts.  Your 5 day look should have no evidence of crusting or scabbing
