It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. You do not need to use any products after surgery (for better results).
Thank you for the message. We have our patients start topical minoxidil as early as 2 weeks post FUE hair restoration. Being 3 months out, your transplanted hairs and native hairs can benefit from it :-) great idea.
Minoxidil is a good product to use to keep the transplanted hair follicles in a longer growth phase and to improve miniaturization. Even though you are three months out, it is not too late to start. It will be helpful particularly in the crown and mid-scalp areas, which appear to have thinning - you want to maintain and build up existing hair to prevent further hair loss. As far as affecting the final result, Minoxidil would be a positive tool towards a better result.
I have studied the use of minoxidil on half of the recipient area in many patients. There was not difference between the two sides concerning growth.
It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results. If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.
Thanks for the question. Based on your photos, the 2000-4000 grafts might be good option for you, but it would be wrong to say something for sure. You should see a board certified surgeon. You can then plan the process together and discuss the results. I wish you all the best.
