Sleeping on my back is fine. Sitting is fine. But! It's that first transition in the morning after sleeping on my back all night into an upright position that feels like gravity is ripping through my chest muscles. Then, I'm fine again. Normal? Does that ever go anyway? It's Day 5!!

Answer: Breast Augmentation Recovery Hi- congratulations on your breast augmentation and lift! What you are experiencing is likely fairly normal early post-operative pain and swelling, and should improve over time. However, you should talk to your surgeon and see what advice he/she has. You may want to try sleeping propped up on a few pillows for a few nights and then gradually ease into sleeping flat on your back, as this may help ease the pain you are feeling when transitioning from supine (laying flat) to sitting. I would not recommend sleeping on your stomach so soon after breast augmentation.
