It's been one week post op and I've had other surgeries in the past (hysterectomy 8 years ago), why am I still feeling exhausted, run down and in a fog? I'll get random heart palpitations every once in a while as well. Just overall not feeling my best still.

Answer: 1 week post op breast augmentation, silicone gel, submuscular, general anesthesia. Exhausted. Thank you for your question. I am sorry it is taking more time for you to recover. Sometimes combination of general anesthesia and meds can give this feeling. You will continue to get better. I recommend you talk to your PS so that they can check make sure everything is OK

Answer: Post Operative Recovery Call your doctor. This is not the time to get online advice. Any issue after surgery should be directed towards your surgeon As physicians we want you to get well quickly. It is very frustrating when a patient calls after the fact. Also, you may have a medical issue. I remember a time when a patient had an allergic reaction to a drug. She felt really horrible after surgery but we figured it out. He liver was sensitive to a commonly prescribed drug. We addressed it and she felt better. If she did not tell me and just suffered through it, I don't know what would have happened. Lastly, human nature is such that when people become ill they hibernate. They don't go yelling out of the window "I feel terrible!". They stay in bed! NOT GOOD. Call a friend to check up in you. Call your doctor and tell them how you feel.
