Sunken nose bridge, is this open roof deformity? (photo)

Question

Hi, I had a rhinoplasty 1 year and 8 months ago. My bridge looks sunken in and my tip is hard and round. I'm not sure if the tip can still have swelling after this time but the bridge does look a little wider towards the tip and sunken in. Is this something I should be concerned about or is there anything I can do?

Hello Sharait,

After this time, your appearance is more or less definite and is unlikely to change any more. Corrections could be done for breathing problems or cosmetic concerns. If you don't like the look, cartilage grafts could be used to improve the appearance.

Dear Sharait28, From your photograph it appears that you have a fairly severe nasal collapse that can be fixed with revision rhinoplasty. This far into the recovery phase the tip swelling has fully dissipated. The asymmetry and other concerns can also be addressed during a revision procedure. This one picture suggests that you have severe collapse of your bridge and the central part of your nose. If I am correct significant improvement can be achieved both in appearance and nasal breathing by a revision rhinoplasty specialist.
