Is SculpSure safe on lower abdomen if I have a copper IUD?

Yes, you can have Sculpsure with a copper IUD. Keep in mind, with Sculpsure, a combination of treatments is needed. I recommend combining Sculpsure with Vanquish and Venus Legacy/Exilis Ultra treatments. We currently use a fire and ice treatment with Coolsculpting and Vanquish for good results in fat removal. However, a VASER hi definition procedure would give you the best results with fat removal, contouring and definition. SculpSure can be safely performed on the lower abdomen on someone who has a copper IUD.  The heat from the laser will not penetrate to the depth of the IUD.

Thank you for your question! The Sculpsure laser does not penetrate deep enough to affect any other structures. It is specifically designed to target, heat up, and destroy fat cells. Sculpsure bypasses the skin and muscles to solely penetrate fat. Sculpsure is FDA approved and is proven to be a safe technology. The IUD would not be reached by Sculpsure. I would say that you should definitely do a treatment. You have nothing to lose but your fat!

IUD (Intrauterine Device for Birth Control) is in no way affected by a SculpSure laser that's penetrating centimeters into your fat on your arms, abdomen, flank or thighs.  At no time will it ever affect your uterus.  It's a body contouring laser a reduces fat in a localized area.  With that said give it a chance!

SculpSure will not impact the IUD at all. It's affecting the subcutaneous fat cells only.  It is very safe in this situation.

An IUD will have no ill impact on a sculpsure treatment. The laser only targets to a level of 3 centimeters below the skin surface, therefore anything deeper is not in any way at risk. You are good to go!
