Using sculpsure for improvement of lipomas is not indicated. Liposuction of the lipoma can sometimes improve the appearance but the best option would be to surgically remove the lipoma as a whole. Be sure to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon before undergoing any treatments.

The answer is yes. Sculpsure certainly would likely reduce the size of a lipoma. BUT should you do it? NO. A lipoma is a tumor, benign, but nevertheless a tumor. Sculpsure is not designed to be used on anything other than garden variety fat cells, and how a lipoma might respond is uncertain. I would not recommend it. Excision is the best choice. The incision can be much smaller than the tumor, because the tumor is easily teased out. The procedure can be done under local anesthetic and would likely be cheaper than Sculpsure.
