Is it safe to get Sculptra while on Humira?

I have colonic Crohn’s and I’ve done Sculptra in the past before going on Humira. Had no issues then. I’ve lost weight and volume in my face that I’d really like to regain through Sculptra, since it’s more about the overall roundness on the sides of my face, temples, etc. Thank you.

Crohn's disease is not a contraindication. You should also be fine having Sculptra while on Humira.   Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures to make sure everything is handled well for you.

Crohns' disease is not a contraindication for Sculptra.  However, you should clear these injections with your treating physician since you are on Humira.  Sterile technique, as always, is essential.  Sculptra will give you the overall volume in your face that you are looking for.  Please consult an expert in Sculptra for the best cosmetic results. I would feel comfortable treating you with Sculptra while on Humira as long as the Crohn's disease is under control (not during a flare) and your treating physician is okay with the treatment plan. There is an increased risk of infection while on an immunosuppresent so clean/sterile technique would be important during the injections.
