Is my nose still swollen??? It looks undefined and larger than before. (photos)

Question

It has been 2 months since rhinoplasty and I am so depressed with the results. My nose looks too short, wide, and flat and more bulbous then before. All I wanted was a small dorsal hump removed and my nose looks awful, shapeless, and undefined. Is this swelling or the final shape??? The first 9 photos are before surgery and the remaining photos are after.

Thank you very much for enquire.It's too early to make value judgments with 2 months after a rhinoplasty.Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to be swollen up to 2 months postoperative.  The dorsal aspect of the bridge of the nose will usually decrease earlier than the nasal tip swelling.  Nasal tip swelling can sometimes take 6-12 months to fully resolve.  I advise patients that the final result of rhinoplasty takes 12 months. Hang in there...things will improve.   I recommend that you return to see your surgeon, as he/she will have a good idea of what to expect in regards to your specific progress, since they can evaluate you in relation to your preoperative appearance.Best wishes and good luck

After two months, you are still recovering and there are a lot if swelling to resolve. I recommend you wait for at least 4-6 more months before deciding on the result and considering revision. Good luck

It is very difficult to tell which photos are pre and which post. Possible this is why in fact you are frustrated.
