I'm looking for insights into scar tissue treated by Morpheus8, please don't copy/paste what these two procedures are. In your experience, how does scar tissue caused by CoolSculpting (~5 years old) react to Morpheus8? Does it dissolve? If so, does it dissolve unevenly? Does it become inflamed longer than other tissues? If so, how long does it take for the swelling to subside? Have you experienced any complications resulting in using Morpheus8 after a CoolSculpting treatment? Thank you!
Answer: Morpheus8 and Coolsculpting Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. When it comes to treating scar tissue from CoolSculpting with Morpheus8, the outcomes can vary based on several factors, including the age and type of scar, the depth of the scar tissue, and individual healing responses. Morpheus8 uses microneedling combined with radiofrequency to target deeper layers of the skin. This treatment stimulates collagen production and can promote remodeling of scar tissue. While it doesn't dissolve scar tissue in the traditional sense, it can help improve texture and reduce the appearance of scars over time by encouraging the body to create new, healthier tissue. Scar tissue can sometimes react unevenly to treatment. This is because scar tissue often has different texture and density compared to normal skin. As a result, the response to Morpheus8 might be less uniform, and some areas of the scar may see more improvement than others. Scar tissue might react with a slightly prolonged inflammatory response compared to normal skin. The initial inflammation and swelling after Morpheus8 treatment can last a bit longer in scar tissue. Typically, you might expect swelling to subside within a few days to a week, but with scar tissue, the inflammation could persist a little longer. This is due to the denser, more fibrous nature of scar tissue, which might take more time to adjust to the treatment. Overall, while Morpheus8 can be effective in improving the appearance of scar tissue, results can be gradual and may require multiple sessions. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Modern Women's Health by Dr. Jukes Hi there Jane! So sorry to hear about your experience. I will give the honest truth. CoolSculpting, or cryolipolysis, is a non-invasive, FDA-approved procedure designed to remove stubborn fat deposits by freezing fat cells. It is our least favorite treatment that's been offered because of the complications. Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia - where instead of the fat pockets flushing out, producing a firm, raised bump of fat. Sometimes these can take up to 5 months to show and we understand how frustrating it is. Along with nerve damage and frost bite, it overall is just an outdated treatment. In our expert opinion, liposuction surgery will help the most. It will target those fat cells immediately to remove them. Morpheus8 is amazing for skin tightening. However - when it comes to those hardened pockets, it is a little unpredictable to give you an estimate on how many treatments it could take to see a significant change. If you feel those fat cells have shrunk over time, then Morpheus8 could be a great option. They will take more than the initial 3 sessions a typical patient would need. It will work to help break up the fat. We ask our patients about 24-48 hours after the sensitivity diminishes, to do a lymphatic massage. With pressure, pinching and kneading the fat pockets. Swelling usually dials down within the first 48 hours, however - what we call "tire tracks" can be visible for up to 2 weeks. There have been no complications in using Morpheus8 to help improve the results!

Answer: Scar tissue It would be much easier to answer this question if there was a picture involved. We have not personally experienced any scar tissue forming after coolsculpting after ten years of practice or so. There was a very rare possibility of paroxysmal lipid hyperplasia with the older model coolsculpting machines but that has not been seen in a long time. IF that is the case, which causes a mounding of hard fat, only surgical removal is usually successful.

Answer: Thank you for your thoughtful question! Treating scar tissue from prior procedures like CoolSculpting with Morpheus8 can yield positive results, but it’s important to understand how these tissues may respond. In my experience, Morpheus8 can be effective in improving the texture and elasticity of scar tissue caused by treatments like CoolSculpting. The combination of microneedling and radiofrequency energy works to remodel collagen, break down fibrous tissue, and stimulate healthier skin regeneration. However, scar tissue may react differently than surrounding skin: Dissolution of Scar Tissue: Morpheus8 does not "dissolve" scar tissue entirely, but it can soften and improve its appearance over time. Results depend on the severity and depth of the scar. In some cases, additional sessions may be needed to achieve more even results. Inflammatory Response: Scar tissue may become inflamed for a slightly longer duration than normal skin due to its altered structure and reduced elasticity. Typically, inflammation subsides within 5-10 days, but it can vary depending on individual healing. Uneven Results: While Morpheus8 is precise, some patients may notice a slight difference in how scar tissue and surrounding tissue respond, especially early in the healing process. This can often be addressed with follow-up sessions to refine the results. Complications Post-CoolSculpting: In my experience, complications using Morpheus8 on areas treated by CoolSculpting are rare. However, if the CoolSculpting caused significant fibrosis or fat loss irregularities, this can affect how evenly the skin remodels. I always recommend a thorough consultation to evaluate the area and determine the best approach for safe, optimal results. Feel free to schedule a consultation to discuss your specific concerns further. With the right treatment plan, Morpheus8 can provide significant improvements to scar tissue and overall skin texture! Warm regards, Dr. Jennifer Berman
