fillers do not cause any Issues with bony structure actually fillers like sculptra, radiesse and bellafill help build collagen where placed. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hi D,Unlike chin implants, long term use of dermal fillers such as Radiesse does not result in bone resorption as seen with chin implants. In fact, Radiesse is a bio stimulating filler, resulting in increased collagen production where it is injected even after it is absorbed over time. Good luck and be well.Michael A. Persky, MDEncino, CA
The reason this occurs with implants is due to the pressure the implant causes on the bone. It is placed in a subperiosteal plane. The filler is place superficial to this and is not as firm as an implant. I don't think you have to worry about fillers or Radiesse causing boney erosion in the chin.
Hello and thank you for your question. No fillers do not cause harmful side effects after long term use. Fillers are liquid and do not put pressure on bones that would cause bone erosion. Best wishes.Dr. T
This will not happen because the filler is a liquid material and does not put pressure directly on the bone the way implants do. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Without pictures it is difficult to to say but for jawline and chin 2-3 syringes is needed, Radiesse is my preference for those areas
A formal evaluation would be needed to determine what's best. Many of my patients try to avoid surgery, so we perform a non-surgical chin augmentation treatment with injectable fillers. Fillers like Radiesse, Voluma, BellaFill as well as Sculptra are injected into the area, improving the overall...
I suspect that the filler is still there and not metabolised. The body will take about two years to remove the calcium microspheres. However because you are very young and your face has a good tissue tone to it, I suspect that the filler is just not working to change the shape of your face. You...
We are doing hyperdilute Radiesse quite frequently in the neck for laxity. It causes collagen and elastin production. We often combine with RF Microneedling, Genius. It can take 2-3 treatments. I use 1 syringe mixed with 6cc or saline/lidocaine mixture. 5 entry points using a cannula. It takes...
I have been using both Sculptra and radiesse for over 20 years with a lot of success. Sculptra is a product that expands tissues over time by creating a lattice of collagen tissue around its particles. Radiesse does not have the same qualities as Sculptra. The amount of collagen formation in ...
Hi, I’m surprised with radiesse in the lips....you sure it wasn’t restylane? It is not a product typically used in the lip. For labia majora plumping, that is a treatment I do regularly. You can achieve plumping with fat, HA fillers, collagen fillers, and even Calcium based one such as radie...
