How long do the effects of Rogaine last?

Do the effects of Rogaine stay with you even after you stop using the treatment? Or is it like any other medicine where you have to keep using the product to keep enjoying the benefits/effects of the treatment?

All drugs have side effects.  Topical Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Finasteride (Propecia) is not an exception.  Avoiding a drug due to it's "potential" side effect should be balanced with the "potential" benefits. Rogaine requires twice a day application.  If it is an inconvenience it...

Rogaine is a brand name for 5% minoxidil.  There is no difference other than the cost and the name.  It contains the same drug.

Used Rogaine as directed twice a day.  The exact amount depends on the area you are treating.  It may take 6 plus months to see changes.

Can I use back rogaine to get hair back?

You must continue using Rogaine as directed. If you stop using Rogaine the hairs you gained will fall out over time (as you have noticed).  If you restart Rogaine, new hairs may grow but it generally does not regrow all the hairs you have lost.

The recommended dose or use of Rogaine is to apply it to your scalp twice a day everyday.  Once a week or every two days would likely not work.
