Question

Location is in the back of my scalp rather than the sides or top. Hair is naturally baby fine but I wouldn't consider my hair thick or thin. Somewhere in the middle. I may have a little redness but no pain or irratation. I am starting to take biotin along with prenatal for hair,skin ect. Just want to make sure the Rogaine will not do more damage than good. This happened about 72hrs ago. Please help.

Hello,You  should have a thorough workup including the following:
Trichoscopy- identify type of hair loss Extensive history and labs- rule out other forms of hair lossWe use ARTAS with regenerative techniques with women such as Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and growth factors to help improve overall results.  Although ARTAS is not FDA approved, it can be used off label for this purpose.

If you hair was traumatically pulled a few days ago as an isolated (one time) incident, then it will likely grow back without any treatment or intervention.

If you had hair pulled out this week, I would not worry. It will come back, always provided it is a one time occurrence. Yes, you can safely use Rogaine but it will not impact the regrowth of the hair that was pulled out, as it will come back in its own time frame, usually within 6 months.
