Does laser hair removal make hair follicles that are dark less visible or even completely remove them? (Photo)

Question

I get dark spots after shaving my legs and I have very fine hair on my chest. I can notice if I look closely I get black/red spots where the hair grows from on my chest. Will this go on it's own? Or will laser help get rid of them permanently or only reduce their appearance? Is there a specific laser good for this? I have a tan/olive skin type.

Thank you for your question. By removing the hair growth less trauma it caused to the skin due to ingrown hairs. These hairs can cause pigmentation issues with certain skin types leaving brown spots.  Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon for your best options.

Thank you for your picture.  In my opinion, over time this dark areas will improve with laser hair reduction.  The most important factor is to make the person treating you uses the right laser wavelength to prevent a burn injury and darkening of your olive/tan skin
