Vaginal itching after second laser hair removal session. Should I be concerned?

Yesterday I had my second laser hair removal and now it is very itchy. There are no bumps except on the bikini line.

Thank you for ypur question.  The laser hair removal stimulates melanin in ypur skin.  We tell our oatients to avoid the sun for 2 weeks prior to laser hair removal and 2 weeks after.  Best wishes.

I would use Luminase and Exfolase creams followed by fractional laser if you have discoloration from the laser that lasts more than a month.Best, Dr. Karamanoukian#Realself100 Surgeon

Is laser hair removal safe for WHOLE face or any part of it? Does it cause pigmentation or causes ageing etc.?

Laser hair removal can be very safe and effective. Find the right laser, at a center owned and operated by a board=certified physician. Multiple lasers should be available as no single laser can treat all skin types. Keep in mind IPL is NOT a laser and the ideal treatment for hair removal...

Will dying blond body hair darker help with laser hair removal?

Thank you for your question. Dying blond hair does not make laser hair removal effective. There are no Lasers on the market that can remove blond or red colored hair.  Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office for the best treatment options.

Thank you for your question. Skin on the genital area is usually darker than other areas of the body. If the laser is not set for the difference from one area to another it can result in burns. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeons office to further evaluate the issue.

Laser hair removal burns are very common but should not be happening if you go to a well trained physician.  I suggest wound care with janmarini bioshield and dermflage.  Best, Dr. Emer.
