Juvederm non-surgical nose job dissolving after 6 months. Is it possible to touch up? How long would the touch up last? (photo)

With a filler like Voluma, a non-surgical nose job can last for up to 2 years, though of course every patient is different. There are permanent or semi-permanent fillers (like Radiesse and Bellafill or fat injections), but these can cause an issue for surgery in the future, so we generally avoid them. If the top left photo is your nasal appearance after Juvederm, you may have been slightly undercorrected. By under corrected, I mean that you probably could have used a little bit more volume at the root of your nose. Since you appear to metabolize Juvederm quickly, one would think that a subsequent treatment would last perhaps 6 months. Thank you for your question. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Thanks for your question. The duration of a filler depends on many factors, including the type of filler used, the technique of the injector and the speed at which your body breaks down the product. At this point, you can certainly pursue a touch-up procedure. I encourage you to visit with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist for an in-person assessment. Ask about products that typically last longer, such as Juvederm Voluma, to ensure an optimal outcome.

Correctly chosen fillers placed deep in immobile areas such your nose typically last much longer than this. I would contact your original surgeon to see what product they used. If topped up with the same product I would expect it to last the same amount of time as your original treatment.

Now that you have tried non-surgical nose job and like the result,you can move to a longer lasting filler for your next treatment.  I suggest that you try Voluma which lasts up to two years.

Hello. Thank you for your questions. Typically, a non-surgical nose job should last at least a year. Do you know what filler was used? You can have the area touched up. I would suggest making sure they use something like Restylane Lyft.
