I would highly encourage you to not travel for these procedures. Both of these procedures are highly emotional, have high levels of dissatisfaction and high degrees of revision rates. The need for follow up care cannot be understated. You absolutely need to have access to follow up and ability to undergo revision procedures unless things come out spot on for both of them. Both of these procedures involve guesswork on behalf of the surgeon, fat transfer more than rhinoplasty. Still, rhinoplasty is considered the most technically difficult of all plastic surgery procedures by many. Facial fat transfer is imprecise and unpredictable by its very nature. This leaves a fairly high percentage of patients having questions about the outcomes and needing secondary procedures. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of staying local for elective surgical procedures. You can have both done at the same time or do them as two separate procedures. You live in an area that has a high density of some of the best plastic surgeons in the world. I would take advantage of what's in your backyard. For example, consider meeting Rollin Daniells for your rhinoplasty. He may be a bit arrogant but is perhaps the most achieved rhinoplasty surgeon in the world. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
