I just had a tummy tuck yesterday. What is the extra suture in the photo? Surgeon said it was to suture skin down & prevent a seroma. Was this suture necessary? Will the pucker in my skin go away? Was the use of it appropriate? My history: I had inadequate liposuction 8 months ago. Not enough fat was removed from my belly and new surgeon said there was barely any scar tissue there like the first surgeon did minimal liposuction so this was a lipo revision and tummy tuck at the same time.

progressive tension technique to tack the skin and fat flap down to the muscle to
lessen this chance. Typically, you need to be draining under 30 cc per drain
