How to get high cheekbones?

Question

Is it possible to get higher and fuller cheekbones by sculpting the zygomatic bone? I don't want fillers because they are not permanent and I'm worried it will make my skin sag when it dissolves. I'm not excited about the idea of cheek implants either but I am considering it if its the only alternative to get permanent high cheekbones

This is easily done with fillers, has almost no downtime if used with cannula technique, and can give you long lasting results with many types of fillers depending on your specific aesthetic.  Please see someone with experience.  Avoid implants.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Cheek implants or what you will need to get higher cheekbones. The way of doing this is to select the proper size that is consistent with the rest of your face. An experienced surgeon will know how to do this. Select a surgeon who does not overdo these as that would make you look abnormal.

If you are considering implants, do see a facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon for consultation. However, don't write off injectable fillers so quickly.  They can be a great way to see how you like your new look before committing to a permanent implant. Long lasting temporary fillers including Voluma and Sculptra can last up to 24 months. And, they will not cause sagging skin as they gradually resolve.  If anything, fillers like Radiesse and Sculptra are biostimulators that improve collagen.

There is no way to reshape the cheek bones to make them look higher. This requires cheek implants to augment the bone. The key is to select an implant style and shape that will create the specific area of cheek augmentation that you want

Cheek implants are placed over the maxilla with the tail of the implant just barely over the zygomatic arch. It is important not to place the cheek implants too far over the zygoma, since they will look unnatural. For many examples, please see link and the video below

Hi, I have performed many Cheek Augmentations over the past 26 years and cheek implants remain the most reliable, permanent solution. Permanent fillers will eventually shift downward with the pull of gravity and fat transfer can't not approach the 100 % retained shape of a silastic cheek implant.  Hope this helps.

Cheek implants are your best choice if you want a permanent change. It is not reasonable to break the zygomatic bones if that's what you mean when you ask about sculpting.
