Conflicting opinions! PAL & WAL for treating LIPEDEMA - affected areas -- YES or NO? (photos)

April 21, 2016
Asked By:Millien in Los Angeles, CA

I have pre-stage 1Lipedema in my legs, from the hips down. I've already had tumescent WAL performed on my calves, thighs & hips twice by the same Dr (who isn't a plastic surgeon but a Lipedema expert). I want to have more done on my waist and hips by a plastic surgeon but he wants to use tumescent technique with a curved cannula, no water. My previous Dr says this is unsafe for the Lipedema affected areas & that only PAL or WAL methods should be used, the current Dr claims otherwise. Please help!
