I've been having hormonal breakouts along my chin and jawline due to low progesterone. Obviously, I'm trying to balance my hormones to address this, but it's proving slow and difficult. I'm wondering if the Forever Clear BBL protocol would help with this type of acne? (Deeper, inflamed cysts beneath the surface). Thank you!

Answer: Acctane/acne - Clear+Brilliant/moxi, Fractora, PRP, emeragecosmetics Cosmelan/Enlighten/ AERIFY Peel, light stim, dermarolling this needs spironolactone, regular facials, peels at home and dermarolling (see link) and in office clear and brilliant, laser genesis, fractora. BBL can be helpful but takes many more treatments and wont control the underlying issues. we do hormonal therapy in our practice as well to compliment. All of my accutane/isotretinoin/acne patients do our accutane protocol from emeragecosmetics (where we do free skincare consults daily) and peels like aerify/cosmelan/enlighten. Acne requires a combination approach to get long term improvement. For all patients on isotretinoin, we require them to be on skin care such as vitamin C (Skinceuticals Phloretin CF, EmerageSkin AOX-C), glycolic cream (jan Marini bioclear, EmerageSkin enzymatic polish) , kojic acid serums (Skinceuticals phytoplus) and hyaluronic acid serum (IS clinical hydra cool serum, Skinceuticals B5, EmerageSkin hyla B) in the morning and retinols (reve skin 1.0 and sente biocomplete serum) and salicylic acid (reveskin acne purifying enhancer), growth factors and peptides (anetageMD, EmerageSkin Re-Fit Face/Eye) night. All of our patients get clear+brilliant non ablative laser along with a microsecond YAG laser such as aerolase or laser genesis and microneedling with PRP or microneelding RF like intensif or fractora monthly to help improve breakouts, speed the healing process, and improve scarring and facial redness while on the isotretinoin/accutane. LED light therapy, cosmelan/enlighten/AERIFY peels, salt facial or dermalinfusion can be done as well to speed up the improvement. I suggest tyou go to an expert who combines skin care, lasers, microneedling, PRP, and facials while on oral medications for acne. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: BBL helping acne Hi Kind2467! BBL has a lot to offer and helping with acne is one of them. BBL is able to target deep under the skin and kill all acne causing bacteria. BBL is great for acne scaring as well. I would recommend a package of 3 to see best results especially when dealing with cystic acne as it can be tricky. From there you might have to come in once or twice a year for a touch up if your acne flairs up again.

Answer: Forever Clear for Cystic Acne Hi and thanks for your question! Acne can be one of the most difficult skin conditions to treat. You did not include your age, but hormonal status plays a big role in acne, as does inflammation. For active acne, however, Forever Clear BBL is an extremely successful therapy to get the acne under control. Specific blue wavelengths of light are used to target and kill acne bacteria. Alternate wavelengths are used to target and treat redness associated with acne. Be aware that you need to be consistent and diligent with treatment; usually 3-4 or more treatments monthly. Hope this helps!
