Do my breast look normal for 5 weeks post op? I feel like one is bigger and dropping slower. (photos)

Question

My bigger sized implant (right 665 cc) looks SMALLER than my smaller sized implant (left 445). It's stressing me out. I don't mind a little assymetry because they weren't perfect but I'm still concerned. I just wanna make sure I'm healing right. Also, will they look fuller after they drop?

dear patient:  thanks for your question and photos! Its still too early to see the final results.  At rhis stage you would probably benefit from post op massages.  Follow up with your Plastic Surgeon for instructions.  If at the six month mark the results of assymetry still persist revision surgery might be an option Hope this helps!

you can't expect a perfect symmetry if your breasts weren't symmetrical before the surgery and I think you know that already.  5 weeks is not a long period after the surgery, so you can expect your breasts to change their shape in following weeks and months. Your implants will probably drop even further down. It can take up to 4-6 months to get their final shape.

You are only 5 weeks post-op. I don't look critically at my BA results until about 3 months as so many changes take place during that time. Your left implant is about 1.5 - 2.0 cm. higher than your right at this point.  The only thing I would suggest is, in addition to regular implant massaging, start massaging your left implant in a downward direction as well to help it drop and catch up with the right implant.  Your breasts will look fuller and softer over the next several months as your tissues stretch and the implants settle into their final position.  I hope this helps!Thomas Taylor, MD, FACS

The last photo of your breast mound looks good; are the first two taken with your shoulders even; my only criticism is that your nipples are too low for your breast mounds and I would have considered a mini lift to center you nipples on your breast mounds for optimum aesthetics.
