Hi Sara, You may have fillers in your face as soon as the swelling resolves after your Profound RF treatment. With Sculptra, I recommend that my patients have their Sculptra injection session just prior to Profound (on the same day.) They can then return two months later for re-evaluation and any further Sculptra treatment. As with any aesthetic procedure, it is essential that you take the time and effort to choose your treating physician most carefully based on their skill, knowledge, experience, and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well. Dr. P
You could have fillers for volume augmentation along with Profound or anytime thereafter. I find that many aging face patients have a need for both skin tightening and volume augmentation so these procedures are frequently complementary. Do recognize that filler results are immediate and that the results from Profound are gradually developed over 6 to 9 months.
There would be no reason why you could not have fillers or other procedures after Profound but I would recommend waiting at least six months post-Profound for your results. Be patient for the science behind the Profound procedure. A recent patient likes the phrase "show some grace to your face" and is thrilled six months out. Best of luck on your journey!
Hello, Thank you for your question! I do 2-3 profound treatments a week and many of them are combined with fillers. The only caveat being I donthe filler immediately after the profound treatment and not before. It would be great if it could be done before the profound bevsuse there is zero swelling but the heat from profound could alter the filler. In some rare cases patients swell early than others (like during the actual treatment) and I will recommend waiting 4-6 weeks afterward in these patients. Profound is usually come to the lower face and neck so the above doesn’t really apply to cheek or lip filler. I hope that helps!Dr G
Hi Palong1, The most troubling aspect of your question is that an aesthetician is scheduled to perform your Profound treatment. I believe that Profound RF should be performed by a physician, I personally would not allow anyone but a physician to perform the treatment on me. Profound RF is a...
Most people get small papules after Profound RF. They always resolve, usually in a few days. When they persist longer than that I have found that Benadryl cream or a mild steroid cream will help them resolve more quickly.
Hi Ictus, Great question! I nearly always treat my Profound patients on their forehead and around their eyes. Profound RF can be safely and effectively used on the forehead and around the eyes for better facial rejuvenation, though the majority of physicians do not perform the treatment in...
Hi K, I have not heard of a contraindication of Profound in patients with rosacea. My clinical experience in treating patient with redness on their face is that the Profound RF treatment heating of the skin actually results in improvement of facial redness. Make sure to discuss this and all o...
HI, there is some swelling and inflammation after the Profound treatment. This is normal. This is a good thing. Energy in the form of heat and mechanical are placed into the skin so that there is a controlled injury and subsequent repair. The reparative process creates more collagen and th...
Hi moverherfeet, Great question, in fact in our practice we now routinely recommend that patients combine their Profound RF treatment with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). When a patient arrives on the day of their treatment our nurse draws a small tube of their blood in a special PRP tube which i...
