I've developed a double chin after profound RF, will it be permanent?

It is typical to get some swelling and bruising after Profound RF and I expect this is what you are seeing in your chin.  This will resolve gradually and the skin tightening effect will begin to be apparent in 4 to 6 weeks.  The good news is that improvement is usually seen for 6 to 9 months.

HI, there is some swelling and inflammation after the Profound treatment. This is normal.  This is a good thing. Energy in the form of heat and mechanical are placed into the skin so that there is a controlled injury and subsequent repair.  The reparative process creates more collagen and then tightening over 3 to 6 months. Swelling peaks 3 days after the procedure and subsides over the week. If you looked too good right now, the procedure will not adequate create a tightening effect.  Best of luck!
