Hello and Great Question. I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure. My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel. I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist. It would be better that your umbilical hernia be removed before having a BBL surgery. I would recommend seeing a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure for an in person consultation. I hope that helps! Best of Luck!Matthew J. hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question its difficultd evaluated other procedure , but about the hernia you can do full liposuction in your belly and bbl. its recommended get a consultation with a plastic surgeon to evaluate you.
It's possible to perform liposuction of the abdomen with an umbilical hernia if special attention is taken to avoid the hernia; you will likely need the hernia addressed at some time. Consult with a few plastic surgeons in person for a detailed exam and review of your cosmetic goals.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
I recommend repairing the hernia prior to the BBL or at the same time. If the hernia is small, most plastic surgeons are capable of repairing it. Performing liposuction with a hernia present can cause severe complications depending on what is herniating out.
Dear Tameka31,it can be done, but your surgeon can repair hernia at the same time as BBL procedure. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Your hernia can be fixed at the time of the BBL. This should not be an issue in the right hands.
Good afternoon Ms. Tameka31. Thanks for your question. It would be better that your umbilical hernia be removed before having a BBL surgery Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely.
Based on your photo, it appears that your hernia is relatively small. In this case you could do the Brazilian Butt lift with the hernia. I would recommend that the hernia is repaired during the same surgery as the liposuction and fat harvesting for the Brazilian Butt Lift. Plastic surgeons are well versed in repairing umbilical hernias. Another option is to fix the hernia first, let it heal, then come back another day for the Brazilian Butt Lift. Please discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
Best to either repair it before or repair it at the time of your BBL. You don’t want to have liposuction with a known hernia as it could result in injury.
Thanks for your question Tameka31!Depending on your surgeons level of expertise they can potentially repair your umbilical hernia during the same surgery for you. I would recommend discussing the option for this with a fully certified and experienced plastic surgeon. Thanks again :)
There is no evidence to support that claim and the spa version of PRP usually involves micro needling that only goes to the dermis. The fat that was transferred has stem cells within it that are far more powerful than anything in PRP. I would personally say don't waste your time or money.
Hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question i its recommended get a consultation with a plastic surgeon to evaluate you and discuss all about theme.

A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If...
Dear SheliaMarie22,every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, ...
I do not use drains. Most of my out of town patients stay in town from 3 to 7 days depending upon multiple factors. Absorbable sutures can be used. Sometimes these sutures do not dissolve as quickly as necessary, and they must be removed. I would ask your plastic surgeon what should be done.
