hello thank you for your question and provided information as well.. based in your question i its recommended get a consultation with a plastic surgeon to evaluate you and discuss all about theme.
Thanks for your question...Every surgeon has different pre-op protocols. Generally speaking, a complete blood count is usually done + any other tests related to a patient's medical history. I suggest speaking to your surgeon if you are still concerned. You can learn more on our social media (Instagram and Snapchat): @realdrsix. Regards,
Most surgeons will do some blood work prior to surgery, but some surgeons do not. It is always best to ask these questions of your chosen surgeon as recommendations may be different. In some patients who are young and healthy, bloodwork may not be particularly valuable. In older patients with medical problems or history of medical problems, it is reasonable to obtain these results. The surgeon you select should know everything about your past medical and surgical history and be able to make a determination about what labs should be ordered, the need for EKG, the need for medical clearance, the need for anticoagulation, the appropriateness of the surgical intervention based upon the risk factors and current physique, etc.
Dear renessessy1,every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your question . You need your blood work, EKG, and fill out your medical questionnaire Please put your front, side pictures. These pictures are easier to see if they are taking by someone else not close to the camera of the area you are interested only to give you a better answer. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote.Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely.
While every doctor is different and requires their own labs, I can tell you what we require before surgery, and the labs are included in the costs. Bloodwork with a coagulation study (PT an PTT), a pregnancy test along with a urine pregnancy test the day of surgery, blood chemistries and hemoglobin/hematocrit. In anyone over 50 we require a medical clearance by their internist and whatever other tests he or she may want. I'm sure your doctor will arrange for the needed tests and by all means make sure he or she is a board certified plastic surgeon - accept nothing less. Good luck, Dr. Schuster in Boca Raton.

Hi and welcome to our forum!Scleroderma is a multisystem autoimmune disorder which involves the skin and soft tissue, the gastrointestinal system, the respiratory system, the cardiac system, and the renal system. If symptomatic, surgery may be contraindicated, but if otherwise...
I usually require a hemoglobin of 12 to undergo a BBL since so much liposuction and therefore blood loss occurs with this case. The goal is to avoid having to give a blood transfusion. Taking iron pills for a few weeks to one month should get you up to 12.
