6 days after BBL/Halo treatment lots of petechiae have appeared, is this normal? (Photo)

So far my recovery has been going well. But on day five I noticed a lot of petachiae appeared all over my face. They are still here on day six. Is this normal? If so, when can I expect this to clear up?

After a Halo treatment, you can expect to have redness, swelling, peeling, and lifting of the pigment irregularities. You could have or develop petechia as the skin is fragile after a resurfacing treatment. From your photos, I can not actually tell if there are true petechia, or of these changes are something else. However, if they are petechia, I would expect that they will fade and clear completely over the next weeks. In general, from your photo, your face looks like it is healing with in the normal range. If you have any level of concern, I recommend that you contact your doctor and ask him/her about the changes.

Thanks for the question. It's very difficult to answer accurately without an in-person evaluation, but what I see in the picture looks like MENDS which are dead skin which typically come up between day 5-7 and then slough off. After that, the skin can be a bit dry and dehydrated for about a week and then it starts to look fantastic at about 2-3 weeks.It is very important to not rub at the spots - let them fall off on your own and you should also check in with your treating doctor so they can evaluate you in person.
