2 week post op of Breast Augmentation, I woke up with new bruising and soreness. Is this normal? (photos)

It is not common to have a new bruise at 2 weeks post op.  You need to contact your plastic surgeon as this may be the sign of a hematoma (blood collection) that may need to be drained.  This can only be determined by your surgeon. Best of luck.

Bruising after a breast augmentation is a cause for concern.Bleeding into the pocket can cause capsular contracture.Please have your surgeon evaluate you.  There should a low threshold for reoperation if a hematoma is suspected.

Thank you for your question.  I can't tell anything from the close up photo but if you have new bruising and pain you should contact your surgeon ASAP and not wait for two days.  It is possible that you have a hematoma (blood collection) that will need to be drained. 

after augmentation is usually not a concern IF your breast itself is not changing in size or fullness in front of your eyes.  Concerning issues post-augmentation always involve visible changes in size, inflammation, marked increases in pain (not soreness) or wound issues.  And its ALWAYS best to check with your surgeon and your surgeon should be accessible to you until you are released from their practice.  If your surgeon shares your desire to have the best outcome possible, your surgeon should welcome your questions anytime.

New bruising and pain 2 weeks after breast augmentation could indicate hematoma or bleeding.  Although this may be benign I suggest that you contact her plastic surgeon for an examination and diagnosis as soon as possible.  If you have significant swelling, pressure and pain it could be an emergency.

New bruising, pain and swelling that occurs after surgery can mean that bleeding occurred and suggests the possibility of a hematoma.  This cannot be evaluated on line.  You should contact your surgeon to be seen just to make sure there is nothing serious  going on.  Best of luck.
