Any Los Angeles area Blue Shield California doctors that have successfully obtained full approval for male breast reduction?

 Blue Cross  may  cover your procedure, but it will depend on several factors.  I would contact your carrier and make sure that this is a covered benefit for your specific policy.  I have seen Blue Shield exclude this procedure in some policies. They should also provide you with the  criteria for coverage of your surgery.  I would then ask your insurance company to send you a list of plastic surgeons in your area that are providers for your insurance.  After you’ve seen your physician, they will have to submit a letter requesting pre-authorization for your surgery. They will also require photographs to be sent. Most insurance companies will respond within a few weeks and let you know if the procedure is authorized.  Best of luck 

Sorry for your problem but I have treated many patients over the years with gynecomastia and gotten insurance approval for those that qualified.  So go on some consults with experts who accept insurance and begin the approval process Dr Corbin
