I recently (2wks) had laser skin resurfacing with and some fillers for my eyes and labial folds. My eyes however are still very sensitive and it looks like I have liquid filled sacs under my eyes. Is this normal
Answer: Swelling after laser skin resurfacing I appreciate your concern. Rest assured that while most swelling subsides within two weeks, it is not unusual for it to take a bit longer. This is especially true for the sensitive skin under the eyes. My guess is that you will begin to see considerable improvement in the next week or two. If not, schedule a follow-up with the doctor that performed your procedures to see if additional treatment might be helpful.

Answer: How long should the skin appear to be red and swollen following laser skin resurfacing and injection of fillers? Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photograph. Redness and swelling persists longer for stronger lasers and for increased depth of ablation. Without knowing what laser was used it is difficult to predict healing time. You do not look unusually red for a strong ablative treatment. Speak with your doctor. Good luck,

Answer: Laser Resurfacing with Fillers Although the new skin is usually healed by two weeks there is always some swelling which will persist for a few months after laser resurfacing. You also mentioned fillers under your eyes which can definitely cause additional swelling under the eyes for several weeks. Your photos look normal for two weeks. You can try lymphatic massage (using your finger tips to gently press over the swollen areas on your cheeks) four times daily to assist in reducing the swelling over the cheek bones. A low salt diet can also help reduce swelling. You will see continued improvement in the redness and swelling over the next several weeks.

Answer: Swelling after Laser The swelling can be both from the injection and laser. Swelling will settle on its own but some things you can avoid to promote quicker healing time is no cardio and salty foods. Sleeping with a couple pillows at night will also help the swelling go down.
