I would recommend possibly doing a shave excision, this would not involve sutures.  I recommend seeing a board certified facial plastic surgeon for an evaluation. 

You mentioned that the mole on your lip is raised.  My recommendation for removing a raised mole would be to do a shave excision.  In this method, the mole is just shaved off at the top and no stitches are necessary.  It normally heals in just a few days and you would be able to put makeup on it by at least a week.  If you have it removed by excision and stitches are placed, it will take a bit longer to heal, but you should definitely be able to put makeup on it by ten days at the longest.  

Moles should be excised totally and submitted for pathology. The surface sutures will be removed in 5 days and immediatey afterward you will be able to apply makeup to cover the redness. Shaving and letting the wound to heal by secondary intention will take 10 days to heal the raw surface.
