The 2009 picture certainly shows the same chin crease but less pronounced. The crease is caused by muscle contraction and the more the muscle is used, the bigger it gets. You may consider Botox treatment to help atrophy it, but it may also effect your smile.

The chin crease is a normal part of the anatomy and represents a line of firm fibrous attachment of the skin to the underlying bone. While it can be lessened with filler material or a surgical release, it likely will not disappear and in fact could look abnormal.
