I am 5.7 foot tall and my weight is 57 kilos. I have always been fairly thin. I just turned 30 and I feel my face looks tired and sagging. Since childhood I have had a rounded fact with large cheecks, and I feel they are starting to come down. I have much more marked naso-labial folds and cheeks are more noticeable on the jaw line. Members of my family have used fillers and due to the large cheeks they give the impression of being "swollen" or fat. Can radio frequency or any other treatment help?
Answer: RF and Volume Reduction Radio-frequency can definitely improve the appearance of the nasal-labial folds as it will stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of the wrinkles. There are also technologies that combine suction with RF, such as the Viora Reaction, which can help improve definition in the face by breaking up some of the fat while tightening the skin. These technologies would also improve the appearance of your jaw line, making it more defined.I don't generally recommend that patients remove cheek fat surgically. When you are much older this can lead to hollows in the cheeks. Non-surgical tightening and shaping is an inexpensive solution that will likely give you great results. Best of Luck!

Answer: How to treat naso-labial folds and large cheek fat? Hi, from these photos the cheeks are very flat anteriorly (in the front) and there is, as you mention, excess fat in front and below the cheeks. These combine to make the face appear elongated and tired. Female faces look the most attractive when they are heart shaped. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round anteriorly. Cheek augmentation, with cheek implants, can create full, round cheeks in the front that will feminize the entire face. I would combine facial liposuction to reduce the facial fat to further shape the cheek area. While I can't see the chin on profile, I do suspect by the shadow effect that the chin is weak. Chin augmentation with a chin implant would provide harmony and balance to the lower face.From these photos, I do see some evidence of "jowls" which is the primary indication for some type of facelift. If you have "jowls" this is sagging facial tissues and an indication for some form of a facelift. The notion that dermal fillers to the cheeks will lift tissues is an urban myth. Filler to the cheeks will not lift up the jowls. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured (not merely folded or suspended with threads or sutures that will not last).
