Minoxidil for beard growth? How to induce "terminalisation" of vellus hair? (photo)

terminalisation isn't a technical term but hoped someone could help. I have used minoxidil for 11 months to stimulate facial hair growth. Now i am aware that what i have done is not generally recommended and is merely at this point a state of self induced hypertricosis. I know of several people personally who managed to retain the hairs upon cessation due to the hairs being terminal. A large majority of mine are still vellus. Is it a case of waiting it out? Or are there steps i could take?

Beard growth is genetic and some people grow more than others.  Please post photos or get a formal consultation with a hair growth expert. Prp and progesterone may give improvement. Best, Dr. Emer.

A second opinion on the Internet without an examination would not be ideal.  If you want another opinion before spending your 10 grand it would be in your interest to see another doctor for an examination.

If you are having issues after surgery, especially with pimples and bumps you should contact your doctor.  There should be no issues with trimming you hair.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.   Follow your doctor's washing recommendation.
