Thank you for your question.Sculptra is a wonderful product for "smile lines" Sculptra provides a wonderful scaffolding for facial volumization
Thank you for your question. Yes, Sculptra does treat nasolabial fold. Sculptra Aesthetic helps to replace lost collagen. This collagen structure provides a foundation that gradually restores the look of fullness to deep facial wrinkles and folds. The Scultra mix does contain lidocaine.
Aloha Mighty,Sculptra is a biostimulating injectable filler that helps with the nasolabial folds (smile lines). The treatment involves multiple injections, but the discomfort can be minimized by having topical anesthetic ointment for 30 to 60 minutes before treatment. There is lidocaine local anesthesia in the Sculptra mix. In patients in their 20's often times we prefer the use of a little Voluma to lift the nasolabial folds (nlfs form because of loss of volume in the cheek bones. By replacing that, the nlfs lift in a naturally beautiful way.) The most important aspect of your treatment is making sure that you choose the best physician injector based on their experience, knowledge, skill , and natural artistic vision. Good luck and be well.Dr. P, Encino, CA
Yes, Sculptra can be used to improve this, but a combination approach will give the most improvement. I recommend fillers for the folds themselves but also lifting around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, rf treatments, J Plasma and peels to get the most conservative natural look. Please see a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. Yes, Sculptra can treat the nasolabial lines (smiles lines). However, as you are young I would advise treating this area with hyaluronic acid fillers. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm are injected into the dermis and attract water creating volume. As HA fillers are not permanent you can have them dissolved with hyaluronidase if unhappy with the results. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Thank you for your question. You can use either Voluma or Sculptra to treat nasolabial folds. Voluma is a hyaluronic acid which is a moisturizer found naturally in your body and works by replenishing the natural moisture in your skin restoring structure, volume and softer contours to the face. Sculptra is an injectable treatment that functions as a volumizer and causes your body to produce its own filler. It is used to add volume to the face. Sculptra is a purified treatment of poly-L-lactic acid. When injected in the face, it stimulates your body to produce additional collagen, which will fill in the desired areas. Your body will begin producing collagen after a few weeks. For more information, it is best to get a in person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist.
Dear alohamighty:Yes, Sculptra does work for smile lines. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers which provide an immediate improvement, Sculptra works over weeks and months. This is because Sculptra is a bio-active filler and works differently. HA fillers injected into the skin fill the thinned out crease in the level of the dermis and attract water creating volume like "jello".Sculptra injected under the skin, typically in the upper fat or deeper tissues stimulates the up-regulation of the fibroblasts to produce more skin structural molecules like collagen, elastin and other firming elements providing resistance to the creasing and folding of the skin. Sculptra is reconstituted with lidocaine a local anesthetic and depending on the technique and injector, he/she may use further local anesthetics too. If it is peri-oral lip lines you which to conquer as well, a minute amount of Botox or Dysport to reduce the dynamic wrinkling of the orbicularis oris lip muscle is helpful.Don't forget topical skin tightening using a Obagi ZO Skin Health Retinoid regimen and chemical peels to further stimulate that collagen production. These are advanced techniques. Consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Dermatologist with added skills and experience. All the best!
