Scalp Micropigmentation SMP can be a great adjunct after hair transplant surgery to add the look of fullness.  You don't have to shave to have SMP but some clinics require it.

When performed well scalp pigmentation can add the look of fullness to your hair, natural or transplanted. With long hair with the hair parted the scalp becomes more visible. Scalp pigmentation will add tone to the skin surface so blocking the natural skin complexion. This can blend with your hair to give the illusion of greater fullness and thickness. The effect largely though depends on your hair colour to skin complexion. The lower the contrast the less result will be achieved. The higher the contrast, like pale skin and dark hair the greater the illusion can be created.

SMP can create the appearance of fullness, so full in fact, that with a good hair transplant you can't tell it is SMP
